What you’ll do

  • Monitor and enforce the company’s safety and health management system to assist the company in providing the safety possible work environment for our team.
  • Promoting a strong culture of safety and health across the organization.
  • Provide safety leadership by interfacing with employees, management and subcontractors.
  • Conduct routine audits to measure compliance and overall program effectiveness
  • Tracking metrics to meet defined program objectives and foster program advocacy
  • Develop and conduct safety orientations training.
  • Conduct accident/ incident investigations to include determine root cause.
  • Participate in and/or facilitate all program activities, including but not limited to regular conference calls, workshops, compliance audits, reporting, etc.
  • Write and distribute safety related directives and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by management

What you’ll need

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work self-directed with a sense of urgency
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and industry requirements
  • Strong documentation skills and proven analytical and problem solving abilities in a changing environment
  • Experience providing safety training, and implementing safety initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting training material and leading project groups, including employees of all levels, vendors and customers.
  • Must be proficient with PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Forklift certification a plus.
  • Authorized Outreach Trainer (OSHA 500) preferred
  • Must carry valid Driver’s License
