As an Admin Billing Specialist with Bigham Cable Construction at our Asheville, NC office, you’ll play a key role in supporting the teams that help bring reliable broadband to our communities. You’ll work closely with Finance and Operations to keep billing processes organized and accurate, spending much of your time in R-task and assisting with permit-related tasks. You’ll help maintain clear project information, ensure timely billing, and provide dependable administrative support. What you’ll do
- Prepare, review, and submit accurate customer invoices for project based work
- Work extensively in R-task to manage billing workflows and project documentation
- Assist with permit-related tasks, including organizing, submitting, and tracking required information

- Maintain organized and up-to-date billing records, files, and supporting documents
- Verify billing details by coordinating with project managers, field teams, and operations staff
- Enter and update data in internal systems with a high level of accuracy
- Support accounts receivable activities, including payment tracking and resolving discrepancies
- Collect necessary field documents and ensure all required items are complete for billing
- Monitor billing timelines to ensure invoices are processed promptly
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve missing information or billing questions
- Provide general administrative support to Finance and Operations as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all company policies and procedures
What you’ll need
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings, including background check and drug test
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education in business, accounting, or administration is a plus
- Previous experience in billing, administrative support, or a related office role preferred
- Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Proficiency with computers and standard office software (Microsoft Office, Excel, email platforms)
- Comfortable learning and working within systems such as R-task
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with Finance, Operations, and field teams
- Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment
