What you’ll do

Splice, terminate, and install coaxial cables for new construction, maintenance, and repair projects

Troubleshoot and resolve signal issues using meters, sweep gear, and testing equipment

Read and interpret maps, prints, and system documentation to complete accurate field work

Perform cutovers, upgrades, and system restorations while protecting network performance

Understand RF signal flow, noise mitigation, and cable system standards

Maintain detailed documentation for work performed, materials used, and test results

Communicate clearly with supervisors, field teams, and customers as needed

Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality

Work safely in aerial and underground environments, including climbing ladders and working at heights

Operate company vehicles and equipment safely, maintaining a valid driver’s license

Perform physical work outdoors in various weather conditions; open to overtime/on-call needs
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- Valid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
- Six months of coax splicing experience or one year of experience in the telecommunications industry
Additional qualifications
- Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber, is preferred
Physical abilities & exposures
- Routinely: work in confined space, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
- Occasionally: use ladder and gaffs for climbing poles
