As a Foreman on our Telecom Underground team at Bigham Cable Construction, Inc., you’ll take on a meaningful leadership role that keeps our projects moving safely and smoothly. You’ll guide and support your crew each day, helping them grow, stay safe, and deliver high-quality work that connects communities. From reading blueprints and coordinating daily tasks to operating equipment and keeping projects on schedule, you’ll be the person your team looks to for direction and problem-solving. You’ll also work closely with property owners to answer questions and ensure a positive experience. If you enjoy leading by example, working outdoors, and making an impact through hands-on work, this role offers the chance to build a strong team and help shape successful underground telecom projects.

What you’ll do

• Lead underground telecom crews to meet project goals, deadlines, and quality standards
• Train, mentor, and support crew members to build skill and confidence on the job
• Read, interpret, and communicate project blueprints and work plans
• Ensure strict compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and DOT regulations
• Assist the Supervisor with daily planning, coordination, and project oversight
• Communicate with property owners about upcoming work and resolve questions or concerns professionally
• Safely operate heavy equipment, machinery, and tools as needed for project completion
• Work outdoors and perform required tasks in all weather conditions
• Complete additional duties as assigned to support successful project outcomes

What you’ll need

• 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
• 3+ years of related underground construction or telecom experience
• Previous Foreman/crew lead experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in remote areas and confined spaces
• Ability to operate vehicles, heavy machinery, and hand tools safely
• Ability to bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift 55+ lbs
• Ability to perform fine hand motions and tasks with arms above shoulder level
• Ability to use ladders, keyboard, and mouse as needed
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
