Are you a seasoned Project Manager in the cable construction industry?  We are looking for you!  The Project Manager position requires at least 5 years of experience in telecommunications cable construction and fiber industry leading teams.  The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of multiple projects and will focus on high levels of planning, delegation, and more. The Project Manager Ops requires leadership skills including team building and management across projects. A Project Manager Ops focuses on developing project objectives and strategies by assessing how it will impact their department, project, or organization. For each project, they will define and oversee the people and processes needed to reach their targeted goals. At a minimum, the position requires multiple years’ experience working in the cable telecommunications industry.

What you’ll do

• Supervise, develop, and provide leadership to employees of an assigned area, department, or project;
• Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance;
• Implement and maintain processes to assist completion of tasks in support of an assigned area, department, or project;
• Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist an assigned area, department, or project;

• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and retain talent for team building & development;

• Ability to manage multiple projects to completion;
• Ability to function effectively in a high-stress situation;

• Ability to communicate with Company personnel, customers, and contractors to ensure tasks are completed.

  • Ability to organize teams to logistically, fundamentally and cohesively blend and work efficiently together.  

  • Ability to work on call schedule and assist with questions after hours. Will also create/maintain the on-call schedule every 6 months. 

What you’ll need

  • Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience.

  • At least 5 years of related work experience in telecommunications cable construction and outside plant construction. 

  • Experience with Fiber mapping, design and implementation. 

  • Advanced proficiency in project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.

  • Ability to professionally interact with internal and external customers.  

  • Authorized to work in the United States.

  • Problem solver with foresight to get ahead of a situation. 

  • Experience with safety regulations and crew safety gear. 

  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.

  • Preferred knowledge of google office suite and Microsoft products such as excel and word

  • Willingness to temporarily fill in for fellow supervisors and senior positions as needed.  

  • Ability to read, understand, interpret, input and analyze data.
