At Bigham Cable Construction, Inc., as a Mechanic- Lube Tech, you’ll perform essential preventive maintenance, repairs, oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and tire services. You will inspect vehicles and diagnostics on the company’s fleet of vehicles and equipment. You will ensure all vehicles operate safely and efficiently, in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

What you’ll do
-
Perform oil and filter changes and refill engine oil to manufacturer specs. Top off fluids including brakes, power steering, coolant and windshield washer fluid.

Inspect belts, hoses, brakes and other basic components

Rotate, balance, and repair tires as needed

Follow work procedures for the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment

Inspect and provide strategic recommendations for proactive maintenance

Ensure vehicles are clean and fueled at all times
-
Operate and test vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning
-
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
-
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety and company standards
-
Maintain a clean and orderly workspace
-
Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
-
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
-
High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
-
Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
-
A minimum of 1 year experience as a mechanic, preferably with a focus on fleet vehicles or commercial equipment
-
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
-
Proficient in diagnostic tools and equipment

Strong attention to detail.
Physical abilities & exposures

Routinely: Climb stairs, lift between 26 and 55 pounds, bend, stoop, fine hand motion, squeeze, stand, use portable ladder, walk, work in confined spaces, work with arms above shoulder level, operate heavy machinery and vehicles

Occasionally: use keyboard & mouse, lift greater than 55 pounds, work alone in remote locations, and at heights
