What you’ll do
- Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed to ensure efficient operations
- Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment under the direction of the crew leader
- Ensure door-tag notifications and resident alerts for construction activities are completed before work begins each day
- Stock, clean, and maintain company vehicles and equipment to ensure readiness for daily operations
- Perform manual excavation and minor repairs with the use of shovels and mechanical tools as required
- Direct and flag traffic flow according to local DOT guidelines
- Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call or after-hours responsibilities as needed
- Perform work in all weather conditions to meet project deadlines
- Assist with basic maintenance of tools and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- Valid state driver’s license (cannot be Provisional) with an acceptable driving record
- Willingness to become a certified pole climber
- 0-3 years of labor experience, preferably in telecommunications
- Ability to work safely and effectively in solo and team environments
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Additional qualifications
- Pass a DOT physical to meet job requirements
Physical abilities & exposures
- Routinely: work at heights, handle fiber reels weighing up to 50 lbs, and operate in various weather conditions
