What you’ll do
-
Administer all benefit programs, including health and welfare, retirement plans (e.g., 401k), wellness, PTO, leave of absence, and voluntary benefits.

Manage PTO programs, ensuring compliance with state/federal regulations and maintaining accurate data.

Support day‑to‑day LOA administration, including case tracking and mailbox management.

Participate in benefit system setup and ensure accuracy of benefits administration.

Serve as a primary contact for benefit inquiries, delivering high‑quality customer service to employees, managers, HR partners, and HR leads.

Manage and respond to complex inquiries from the Benefits mailbox; escalate issues appropriately.

Develop and maintain benefit-related communications, materials, and process documentation, ensuring timely distribution of legally required information.

Ensure administration compliance with plan documents, vendor agreements, and company policies.

Monitor and ensure timely completion of all required regulatory filings and guidelines (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, DOL, IRS, 5500, nondiscrimination testing).

Maintain and audit benefit data within HRIS and vendor systems to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance.

Complete benefit billing and reconciliation, including auditing vendor invoices, processing payments, and coordinating payroll deductions.

Complete weekly funding for applicable benefit and retirement plans, reconciling with Payroll and Finance.

Maintain data integrity across HR and vendor systems through regular audits.

Support benefits administration across multiple subsidiaries and states, partnering with HR, Payroll, Finance, and external vendors.

Support the Benefits Lead with daily administration of the company retirement plan.

Evaluate benefit programs, assessing plan design, vendor relationships, service effectiveness, cost, and competitive trends.

Administer and execute open enrollment and year‑end activities, including employee communications, meetings/webinars, and enrollment processing.

Lead or support benefit-related projects, including project planning and timeline management.

Serve as backup to other Benefits team members as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you’ll need

18 years of age or older
-
Authorization to work in the United States
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or 3+ years of equivalent experience
-
Strong knowledge of benefits-related regulations, including ACA, 401k, IRS Code Section 125, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ADA

Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Experience with HRIS and Benefit Administration software (preferred)
Physical abilities & exposures

Routinely: Standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and computer use for extended periods
- Occasionally: Domestic travel up to 10% for team meetings or training
