The Director of Investor Relations & Market Intelligence reports to the Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications and will lead and develop a high-performing team. This role will play a critical leadership role within the organization, responsible for managing day-to-day Investor Relations operations and serves as the central integrator of financial performance, external market expectations, and industry intelligence, ensuring that Dycom’s narrative is both analytically rigorous and aligned with the evolving perspectives of investors and analysts.
The role also serves as the business lead for advancing AI-enabled capabilities within the IR function to enhance analysis, insight generation, and investor engagement.
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong financial acumen, capital markets experience, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insight. They will be equally comfortable engaging in detailed analytical work and operating at a strategic level with senior leadership.

What you’ll do
Market Intelligence & Street Expectations

Establish a clear, forward-looking understanding of how the investment community is interpreting Dycom’s performance and strategic positioning

Evaluate analyst consensus and investor perception and evaluate dispersion of underlying views of company performance

Lead investor targeting strategy, including identification and prioritization of prospective investors aligned with the company’s long-term shareholder objectives

Analyze ownership trends, trading behavior, and investor styles to inform targeting and engagement priorities

Partner with the Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications to optimize allocation of investor engagement across conferences, non-deal roadshows, and one-on-one meetings
Financial Integration & Earnings Readiness

Partner closely with FP&A and Strategic Partnerships to build and maintain a robust bridge between internal forecasts and external expectations

Lead preparation for quarterly earnings, including development of supporting materials and Q&A grounded in a deep understanding of market expectations

Anticipate investor questions and areas of focus based on financial trends, sentiment, and external developments
Industry & Competitive Insight

Integrate insights from ongoing monitoring of competitors, customers, and broader market developments into financial analysis and investor messaging

Translate external developments into clear implications for Dycom’s business, strategy, and valuation narrative
AI-Enabled Capability Development

Serve as the business lead for IR-related AI initiatives in partnership with IT

Define and prioritize use cases for AI-enabled tools, including applications in earnings analysis, model tracking, and intelligence synthesis

Guide the implementation and continuous refinement of AI-driven workflows to enhance speed, accuracy, and depth of insight
Investor Engagement & Market Feedback

Participate in investor meetings, conferences, and earnings-related interactions alongside the Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications

Capture and synthesize investor sentiment, key themes, and evolving perceptions of the company

Support the continuous refinement of messaging and positioning based on market feedback
What you’ll need
-
To be 18 years of age or older
-
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field required.
- MBA or CFA preferred but not required.

8 to 12+ years of experience in Investor Relations, equity research, investment banking, or related field

Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities

Deep understanding of public markets and investor expectations

Experience synthesizing industry, financial, and market data into clear insights

Interest in leveraging technology and AI to enhance analytical workflows

Excellent communication and executive presence

Routinely: Engage in standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and using computers for extended periods.

Occasionally: Travel domestically up to 10% to attend meetings or trainings.
