We look to our Safety Lead to help keep our employees safe and accident free. You will support the development and enhancement of our new and existing safety programs. You will also play a key role in training and deploying those safety programs.

What you’ll do
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with central leadership, regional operations, and teams to support the enterprise safety strategy and program
- Lead and assist with the response to significant safety events
- Assist in the development of safety procedures, programs, and training
- Assist with the development and continuous improvement efforts of safety programs
- Conduct safety audits
- Monitor subsidiary companies’ performance in multiple areas using a variety of computer applications and methods
- Perform general administrative or other duties as assigned to support business needs
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- 8+ years of safety experience, with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
- Demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new internal computer applications
- Proximity to a major airport is preferred but not required
- Safety certification(s) preferred but not required
Additional qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal OSHA regulations
- Process and program improvement experience, including policy and procedure writing as well as deployment
- Ability to speak in front of large groups
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with multiple subsidiaries and to work through issues with each while maintaining confidentiality between companies
Physical abilities & exposures
- Routinely:
- Able to travel domestically (approximately 50-60% of the time) by car and air
- Engage in standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and using computers for extended periods.
Occasionally: exposed to outside weather conditions
