At Dycom, as a Driving Safety Analyst, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the consistent execution of safe driving practices using state-of-the-art technology to train and coach our drivers. What you’ll do
- Advise on provisions to minimize safety risks
 - Coach drivers via remote technology and in-person on their driving behaviors
 - Using a combination of our in-cab monitoring system and defensive driving techniques, coach field personnel to improve performance
 - Monitor safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions
 - Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
 - Provide classroom instruction to new and experienced drivers
 - Provide in-the-car training and evaluations of drivers
 - Ability to analyze data and determine trends to make recommendations
 - Other duties as assigned
 
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
 - Authorization to work in the United States for this company
 - A valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record are mandatory
 - Proven experience as a safety specialist or degree in related field
 - Demonstrated passion and experience in driver training, evaluation, and ongoing coaching
 - Must be comfortable with intervening/speaking up when unsafe acts or processes are observed
 - Ability to speak in front of large groups
 - Must be comfortable communicating with people in leadership positions
 - Strong decision-making skills with the ability to determine and explain which behaviors should be coached and recommend when action should be taken
 
Physical abilities & exposures
- Routinely:
 - Able to travel domestically (approximately 20% of the time) by car and air
 - Engage in standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and using computers for extended periods.
 
- Occasionally: exposed to outside weather conditions
