Discover a more connected career

Dycom Industries is embarking on a massive, transformational SAP S/4HANA implementation that will redefine how we operate.

As we build our world-class SAP Center of Excellence (CoE), we require a strategic gatekeeper for all incoming business requests.

We are seeking a CoE Intake Manager to serve as the critical filter and translator between the business and our technical delivery teams, ensuring that all work supports, accelerates, or changes the business effectively

Connecting you to great benefits

  • Weekly Paychecks
  • Paid Time Off, Parental Leave, and Holidays
  • Insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance)
  • 401(k) w/ Company Match
  • Stock Purchase Plan
  • Education Reimbursement
  • Legal Insurance
  • Discounts on gym memberships, pet insurance, and much more!

What you’ll do

Demand Triage & Routing

  • Single Point of Entry: Serve as the single point of entry for all SAP enhancements, projects, and complex inquiries, explicitly excluding standard break/fix incidents.
  • Service Tier Categorization: Categorize every incoming request into the CoE's defined service tiers: Foundational (Risk/Compliance), Operational (Process Velocity), or Transformational (Strategic Growth).
  • Workflow Integration: Route validated requests to the appropriate CoE leads, such as the Sales Product Lead or Master Data Architect, for technical sizing and backlog integration.

Business Case Decoding & Refinement

  • Needs vs. Wants: Partner with business requestors—often non-technical field or finance leaders—to unpack their surface-level "wants" and identify their true operational "needs".
  • ROI Enforcement: Enforce a standardized intake framework by requiring requestors to define the problem statement, the impacted BPO cluster, and the expected ROI (e.g., hours saved, revenue accelerated, errors reduced) before any technical resources are assigned.
  • Enterprise Consolidation: Identify duplicate requests across different operating companies (OpCos) and consolidate them into a single, standardized enterprise requirement.

Portfolio Visibility & Governance

  • Demand Funnel Management: Maintain the master CoE Demand Funnel to provide the CIDO and VP of Process Improvement with a transparent, real-time view of what the business is asking for versus what the CoE actually has the capacity to deliver.
  • Executive Presentation: Prepare and present the validated intake backlog to the IT Steering Committee and Architectural Review Board (ARB) for final executive approval and funding.

The "Art of No"

  • System Protection: Actively reject or redirect requests that violate the enterprise "Clean Core" strategy, offer negative ROI, or can be solved through process training rather than system configuration.
  • Adoption Partnership: Partner with change managers and trainers when a business request reveals a lack of user understanding rather than a legitimate systemic flaw.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related technical field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in IT demand management, SAP governance, or strategic business analysis within a large-scale enterprise environment.

  • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead IT steering committees to align technical roadmaps with business objectives.

  • Expert-level capability in decoding complex business challenges into actionable technical requirements and high-impact SAP solutions.

  • Deep expertise in business case development, ROI modeling, and value realization tracking for enterprise-level technology investments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional), CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), or SAP S/4HANA certification highly desired.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, conflict resolution, and the ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management and documentation platforms.
