What you’ll do
Release Strategy & Orchestration
- Global Release Calendar: Own and publish the global SAP Release Calendar, establishing the operational cadence for major upgrades, minor enhancements, and emergency break/fix transports.
- Transport Sequencing: Sequence and bundle transports across the SAP S/4HANA landscape and peripheral systems (such as BTP and third-party integrations) to actively prevent technical collisions and dependency failures.
- Business Alignment: Partner directly with business leaders and change managers to ensure deployment windows perfectly align with operational quiet periods, avoiding disruptions during month-end or quarter-end financial closes.
Governance & The Change Advisory Board
- CAB Leadership: Chair the SAP Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, aggressively scrutinizing every proposed system change to ensure it has passed rigorous QA testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and security reviews before authorizing its move to production.
- Deployment Protocols: Enforce strict enterprise adherence to SAP Change Request Management protocols or SAP Cloud ALM deployment frameworks.
- Veto Authority: Act as the authority to halt or veto any release that poses an unacceptable risk to system stability or violates Dycom’s "Clean Core" mandate.
Cutover Management & Risk Mitigation
- Deployment Architecture: Architect highly detailed, minute-by-minute cutover plans for major enterprise deployments and new operating company (OpCo) system integrations.
- Rollback Readiness: Define and rigorously test "rollback" or back-out procedures for every major release. If a deployment fails in production, ensure successful rollback to the last known stable state.
- Hypercare Orchestration: Coordinate post-deployment "Hypercare" support structures, ensuring the Run and Build teams are tightly aligned to rapidly address any immediate post-go-live defects.
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
- DevSecOps Maturity: Work closely with the Process & Quality and Technical Services pillars to mature the CoE's DevSecOps pipeline.
- Deployment Velocity: Automate transport mechanisms and regression testing wherever possible to safely and securely increase deployment velocity across the enterprise.
What you’ll need
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
-
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in SAP landscape management, release management, or similar IT leadership roles.

SAP Certifications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP Solution Manager/Cloud ALM) are highly preferred.
-
MBA or advanced degree in an IT or management-related field is a plus.
-
Proven experience managing SAP S/4HANA landscapes, including SAP BTP and third-party integrations.
-
Deep expertise in SAP Change Request Management (ChaRM) or SAP Cloud ALM deployment frameworks.
-
Demonstrated experience chairing Change Advisory Boards (CAB) and enforcing rigorous deployment protocols.
-
Strong understanding of DevSecOps pipelines, automated regression testing, and deployment velocity methodologies.
-
Proven track record in architecting minute-by-minute cutover plans, robust rollback procedures, and effective hypercare support for major enterprise deployments.
-
Proven ability to exercise independent judgment and "Veto Authority" to prioritize system stability and maintain "Clean Core" mandates.
