What you’ll do
- Collaborates with internal engineering, construction, and operations teams, as well as vendors
and subcontractors, to develop accurate and competitive telecom construction estimates. - Consults with engineers, project managers, and field leadership on cost adjustments,
constructability considerations, and scope clarifications. - Analyzes historical production data, unit costs, and project performance to refine future bids
and improve estimating accuracy. - Prepares detailed estimates to support bid submissions, project planning, and executive
decision-making. - Reviews RFPs, proposals, drawings, and specifications to determine labor, material,
equipment, and schedule requirements. - Identifies cost drivers, risks, and opportunities within project scopes and develops mitigation
strategies to support successful project outcomes. - Evaluates vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure alignment with project scope, market
conditions, and contract requirements. - Supports sourcing and negotiation efforts by providing pricing analysis, comparisons, and
cost impact assessments. - Continuously reviews spend and estimating data to identify savings opportunities and
improve bid strategy. - Maintains accurate estimating and vendor data within estimating and cost management
systems.
What you’ll need
- 2 - 3 years of Telecom experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree or experience preferred
- Project management and process improvement skills
- Strong financial, analytical, and problem solving skills, as well as understanding of legal documents and
agreements - Experience with contract administration and management processes, procedures, and software
- Experience with Telecom Construction, GIS and/or Telecom Engineering
