What you’ll do

  • You will supervise permit drafters who use computer assisted design/drafting (CAD) equipment and software to develop complete and accurate electronic working plans, elevations, details, charts and/or revisions.

  • You will supervise permit drafters who create and revise detailed electronic (CAD) working plans, charts, and/or scale drawings for telecommunications projects from existing drawings, measurements, sketches, specifications, etc.

  • You will ensure the accuracy of completed detail pages, plans and other materials for permitting.

  • You will  ensure the accuracy of completed digitization as-built plant records and maps.

  • You will continue to develop the knowledge of the permit drafters.

  • You will schedule and submit workload to meet critical permitting design due dates.

  • You will collaborate and work with permitting staff to perform daily assigned tasks as related to specific functions that may include any combination of drawings, review of, or the creation / update of drawings.

What you’ll need

  • You will have extensive knowledge of AutoCAD.

  • You have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • You have experience in the telecommunications industry and/or permitting.

  • In order for you to perform this position successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

  • You will need the ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively; and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all staff.

  • You will be organized, able to multitask, prioritize and re-prioritize daily workload and work with minimum supervision and the ability to meet deadlines, establish deadlines, and to prioritize deadlines.
