Responsibilities include design and preparation of Engineering Work Orders for land developments, new buildings and existing structures. Work to be completed utilizing the following tools; Office Suite products, AutoCAD and other external customer programs. As an Telcom OSP engineer you will be responsible for all types of OSP job requests and maintaining positive interaction with Internal and External customers while managing the workload for a given area.
What you’ll do
In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience:
- Develops/defines plans for the implementation on new plant construction or modifications to existing customer facilities
- Prepares plans and specifications, to include gathering field data
- Assures that the most feasible, practical and economical means to complete the work are utilized.
- Provides cost data to support capital planning and budgeting
- Monitors and controls project expenditures
- Skilled in planning and/or engineering
- Completion of engineering tasks in support of an assigned department/project
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a professional and clear manner
- Analyzes local and wide area network systems and/or customer network environment, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges and other devices
Responsibilities:
- Completion of engineering tasks in support of an assigned department/project
- Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist assigned department/project
- Completion of daily production reports to document work performed
- Receive, organize, file, and maintain documents and/or data as well as read, interpret, input, and analyze data
- Additional Duties as assigned
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Proficient with Excel & Word
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 4 years of related work experience.
- Experience in CAD
