A successful OSP Designer shall be able to design coax and fiber optic telecommunications facilities, including routing, necessary equipment, and location of equipment; determine which permits or licenses are required and obtain when necessary. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications network structure; deep understanding of communications engineering and related systems; ability to use a computer and other office related equipment; familiarity with telecommunications design software; ability to read, understand, interpret, and analyze data.
What you’ll do
- Prioritize safety while working both independently and as part of a team.
- Process complex data with high accuracy, including reading, interpreting, and analyzing technical information.
- Coordinate team activities and manage workloads by effectively prioritizing daily duties.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit excellent manual dexterity and strong analytical/critical thinking skills.
- Communicate effectively through oral and written channels to maintain strong interpersonal relationships.
- Interpret highway and road prints to identify and resolve conflicts with outside plant facilities.
- Work autonomously with minimal supervision to meet daily objectives.
- Maintain productivity while seated for extended periods.

- Implement and maintain standardized processes or procedures to drive departmental efficiency
- Partner with diverse stakeholders, including employees, contractors, vendors, and customers, to support project goals
- Analyze and input data with precision to support the needs of the assigned department or project
- Execute additional duties as assigned to meet evolving business needs
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 4 years of related work experience.
- Proficient in the use of office hardware and software. (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in assigned function, example; (Accounting, Engineering, IT, Procurement, Project Mgmt, etc.)
Physical abilities & exposures
- Routinely: Work alone in remote locations, use keyboard and mouse
- Occasionally: Operate vehicle, climb stairs, stand, walk
