At Ervin Cable, as a (Barricade Truck Driver Lead) on our Foreman Telecom Construction Equipment you’ll take on the responsibilities of leading and assisting the traffic control barricade truck drivers with setting up ( TCP’S) and following the MUSTD standards and guidelines along with the company polices and procedures and the company safety protocols that are set in place. You will manage your team , be a mentor and coach for your team . As a Foreman you will also assist with the Flagger Supervisor and flagging crew with flagging operations when needed. We must work together as a team to be more proficient as a company.

What you’ll do
- Operate company barricade and traffic control trucks in a safe, responsible, and professional manner.
- Transport, load, unload, and place traffic control devices including barricades, cones, signs, and arrow boards according to traffic control plans.
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control zones in compliance with MUTCD standards, company policies, and local/state regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report mechanical issues, damages, or safety concerns promptly.
- Ensure proper placement and alignment of traffic control devices to protect workers, pedestrians, and motorists.
- Follow all safety procedures, including use of required PPE at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, flaggers, and crew members to coordinate job site activities.
- Adjust traffic control setups as needed due to changing site conditions, weather, or direction from supervisors.
- Maintain accurate documentation such as work orders, and incident reports. Assist with general labor duties on job sites when required.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients, the public, and other contractors.
- Adhere to all company policies, traffic laws, and safety regulations at all times. Identify and address potential safety and operational issues proactively.
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- A valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
- At least three years of related work experience
- Previous Foreman experience preferred
Physical abilities & exposures
- Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
- Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
