What you’ll do
- Support safety programs across assigned sites or regions
- Assist and collaborate with safety analysts and field teams
- Participate in incident and near-miss investigations
- Help coordinate internal audits and prepare for inspections
- Assist in developing and delivering safety training
- Compile data and contribute to safety reports
- Communicate with internal teams and support external compliance efforts
- Help track and improve safety performance metrics
- Support rollout of safety tools and systems
- Promote a positive safety culture through daily interactions
- Conduct training for new hires as needed
- Travel across multiple offices as needed
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA, utility safety regulations, and field conditions
- Certifications such as CSP, CHST, or OSHA 30 preferred
- Valid driver’s license; must travel to various job sites
Additional qualifications
- Must maintain a satisfactory driving record while in the position, as consistent safe driving behavior is essential when training or setting an example for others
Physical abilities & exposures
- Routinely: Climb stairs, complete and maintain training, use keyboard/mouse, lift 10–25 pounds, stand, walk, work alone in remote locations, operate vehicles
- Occasionally: Lift 26–55 pounds, bend/stoop, perform repetitive hand movements, use portable ladders, work at heights, work in confined spaces, work with arms above shoulder level, operate heavy machinery
