What you’ll do

  • Supervise all operations to ensure fiber/copper splicing projects meet customer and industry specifications, including proper tools, equipment, and adherence to engineered blueprints.

  • Track production, complete daily reports, mark-up maps, record work hours, and prepare as-built documentation for completed areas.

  • Resolve complaints from property owners in assigned areas.

  • Supervise, train, and develop a team of splicers and supervisors, managing contractors and coordinating multi-site construction projects.

  • Reconcile issued parts and materials daily to ensure accurate usage.

  • Maintain and enforce company, federal, and state rules, including non-discriminatory practices and payroll/overtime compliance.

  • Administer corrective disciplinary actions when necessary, documenting performance or behavioral issues.

  • Perform equipment installations as required.

  • Work independently on assigned tasks with minimal guidance.

What you’ll need

  • 1–3+ years of relevant experience in construction or related fields.

  • Previous supervisory or managerial experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of fiber splice engineering practices, prints, and testing procedures (EXFO iOLM preferred).

  • Field experience with fiber optics construction, including loose tube and ribbon.

  • Experience with aerial and underground telecom construction.

  • Proficient in reading fiber matrices, splice diagrams, and construction prints.

  • Strong knowledge of HFC (Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial) networks.

  • Advanced analytical, project management, and communication skills, including presentations and team leadership.
