What you’ll do
- Conduct safety audits and observe field activities
- Coach teams on proper safety techniques and procedures
- Lead toolbox talks and site-specific training
- Support root cause investigations of incidents
- Ensure crews are in compliance with PPE and job-specific hazards
- Document observations and report non-compliance
- Monitor usage of equipment and safety tools
- Coordinate with supervisors to improve safety performance
- Provide input on policy updates based on observations
- Travel between sites to maintain regional safety presence
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or related field experience in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of safety experience in utility or telecom construction, with 2+ in a leadership role.
- CSP, CHST, or OSHA certifications strongly preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of OSHA, MUTCD, and telecom-specific standards (NESC, FCC, RF).
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations
- Valid driver’s license; must travel to various job sites
