What you’ll do

Strategic Maintenance Planning: Evaluate vehicle and equipment needs to determine cost-effective repair and maintenance plans based on a clear cost/benefit analysis.

Advanced Diagnostics: Utilize specialized tools to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures in vehicles and heavy machinery.

Proactive Inspections: Conduct routine inspections and provide strategic recommendations for preventative maintenance to minimize project downtime.

Heavy Equipment & Fleet Repair: Dismantle, repair, and reassemble commercial vehicles, trailers, and heavy construction equipment (including trackhoes, backhoes, and specialized machinery).

Routine Fleet Care: Perform foundational maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations, ensuring all vehicles are clean, fueled, and deployment-ready.

Safety & Quality Testing: Safely operate and test-drive vehicles and heavy machinery to verify proper, protocol-compliant functionality.

Shop Stewardship: Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized workspace while executing other operational duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a mechanic, preferably with a focus on commercial fleets or heavy construction equipment.

Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, along with proficiency in modern diagnostic tools.

Driver's License: Valid state driver's license (non-provisional) with a clean, acceptable driving record.

Tools: Ability to provide your own standard mechanic's hand tools (the shop will supply large-diameter and specialty tools).

Age & Authorization: Must be at least 18 years of age with legal authorization to work in the United States for this company.

Education: High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant field experience.
Work Environment
- Physical Routines: Bending, stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, using portable ladders, fine hand dexterity, working in confined spaces, working with arms above shoulder level, and routinely lifting 26 to 55 pounds. Safe operation of heavy machinery and fleet vehicles is required.

Physical Occasions: Working alone in remote regional locations, working at heights, lifting objects greater than 55 pounds, and utilizing standard office technology (keyboard/mouse)

The wage range for Mechanic is $35.00 - $48.00.
