 The Equipment Hauler plays a pivotal role in operational logistics across North Sky Communications. This position is primarily responsible for safely transporting, loading, and securing heavy construction equipment, telecommunications materials, and fleet vehicles to field crews installing utility infrastructure. This position requires regular, consistent travel across Washington, Oregon, and California.

What you’ll do

  • Fleet & Heavy Equipment Operation: Safely load, secure, haul, and unload heavy machinery, including Directional Drills, Excavators/Backhoes, Skid Steers, Tractor Trailers, and Vacuum Trucks/Trailers.

  • Regional Travel & Transport: Regularly travel out-of-town to and from job sites throughout WA, OR, and CA to keep field crews fully supplied, including extended stays as required.

  • DOT Compliance & Safety: Ensure all loads strictly comply with DOT guidelines and company safety standards; maintain precise hours-of-service logs, permits, and transport paperwork.

  • Warehouse & Logistics Support: Assist shop and warehouse teams with receiving, inspecting, organizing, and securing equipment and supplies upon delivery.

What you’ll need

  • CDL Requirement: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with necessary endorsements (Required).

  • Equipment Experience: Proven experience operating and safely hauling heavy construction equipment or utility vehicles.

  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Travel & Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel consistently across WA, OR, and CA, including extended hours, overtime, and overnight stays.

  • Work Environment: Ability to perform physical work confidently in all outdoor weather conditions.


Pay Range

  • $32.00 – $42.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
