What you’ll do

  • Lead & Execute: Oversee underground construction crews to ensure project timelines are met with precision.

  • Mentor: Take an active role in training crew members and developing their technical skills.

  • Analyze: Read and interpret complex blueprints to guide field operations accurately.

  • Safety First: Enforce strict adherence to company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations.

  • Strategize: Assist higher-level management with daily operational logistics and reporting.

  • Liaise: Act as the professional point of contact for property owners, resolving issues and explaining upcoming work.

  • Operate: Safely utilize heavy equipment and machinery in various field conditions. such as trenchers, boring drills & rigs, and excavators.

  • Misc: Equipment Oversight: Ensure all underground construction machinery is operated according to OSHA and company safety standards, Field Inspections: Conduct daily pre-operational checks and job-site inspections to mitigate risks associated with heavy equipment in diverse terrains, Technique Monitoring: Verify that crews are using correct operating procedures for directional drilling and utility locating to prevent line strikes or equipment damage, Incident Prevention: Implement immediate corrective actions if unsafe machinery operation or hazardous field conditions are identified, and other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

  • Eligibility: Must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Credentials: A valid driver’s license is required. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is highly desirable, or the candidate must be willing to obtain one. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Experience: At least three years of related telecom underground experience. Previous leadership or Foreman experience is highly preferred.
  • Resilience: Ability to perform physical work in all weather conditions.

 

Physical Abilities & Exposures:

  • Routinely: Working in remote or confined spaces, operating heavy machinery, bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting weights exceeding 55 pounds.
  • Occasionally: Using ladders and performing administrative tasks (keyboard/mouse).
