The Assistant Controller position is full time in our corporate office in Vancouver, Washington. This is a new position for our Finance Team, added due to growth.

What you’ll do
Summary
The Assistant Controller works under the guidance of the Director Controller and is responsible for accurate reporting of accounting transactions while adhering to SOX requirements and other company policies. The Assistant Controller manages a team and also prepares reports and analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Provide leadership, training, support, and coaching to team.
● Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations prepared by team
members.
● Review and approve treasury transactions, and changes to master data in SAP.
● Perform and manage time-sensitive tasks to support timely monthly closes and weekly soft
closes.
● Gain a thorough understanding of the Company’s key financial processes, internal control
environment, and SOX controls.
● Operate SOX controls, maintaining complete and timely documentation.
● Respond to audit requests.
● Other duties as needed.
What you’ll need
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (include but are not limited to):
● At least 4 years of experience in a leadership role within a corporate accounting team.
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Master’s degree and CPA preferred but not required.
● Preferred experience: Construction Industry, SOX environment, SAP, and public accounting
● Experience with rapid financial closes.
● Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
● An upbeat but professional demeanor.
● Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
● Excellent verbal communication skills
● A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Essential Physical Requirements (include but are not limited to):
● Standard office environment requiring sitting at desk with some bending, stooping, walking
● Hours/Schedules are determined based on Region and Customer Needs and in compliance with
any regulations; on average – must be able to perform the above for at least 8 hours per day 5
days per week.
The wage range for Assistant Controller is $135,000.00 - $145,000.00.
