What you’ll do
- System Integration: Lead the design and implementation of strategies to interface new third- party software with existing internal systems.
- API Development & Oversight: Write, document, and maintain high-performance APIs. You will establish best practices for API versioning, security, and consumption.
- Billing Systems Management: Oversee the technical logic and data integrity of our billing platforms, ensuring seamless financial transactions and reporting.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor a small team of developers, conducting code reviews and providing architectural guidance.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the technical translator between department heads and the engineering team to define project scopes and timelines.
What you’ll need
- Experience: 5+ years of professional hands-on programming experience in a production environment.
- API Expertise: Deep understanding of RESTful and SOAP services, webhooks, and authentication protocols (OAuth2, API Keys).
- Financial Tech Logic: Proven experience working with complex billing systems (e.g., SAP).
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the "big picture" of how data flows across an entire organization.
Certifications such as Microsoft, AWS, Azure, VMware, Security+, or related credentials are preferred.
Preferred (Bonus) Skills
- OutSystems Proficiency: Experience with the OutSystems low-code platform is a massive plus.
We value the ability to accelerate delivery using high-productivity tools. - Database Management: Strong SQL skills for troubleshooting data mismatches during integrations.
- DevOps Exposure: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
What Success Looks Like
Within the first six months, you will have successfully audited our current API library, mapped out the integration for our upcoming software rollout, and streamlined the data flow within our billing cycle to reduce manual intervention.
The wage range for Sr Engineer System is $110,000.00 - $125,000.00.
