Pauley Construction, LLC provides a complete range of construction and engineering services to the wireless and wireline industry. We are seeking a Foreman Wireless to lead field operations in the Phoenix, AZ region.The Foreman will oversee crews responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of overhead and underground telecom infrastructure. Key duties include supervising the placement of utility poles, coordinating the operation of heavy equipment (e.g., backhoe, trencher, directional bore, bucket truck, pole truck, digger derrick), ensuring proper restoration of work sites, implementing safety protocols, and directing general construction tasks.
The ideal candidate will have prior leadership experience in utility construction, particularly with pole setting and underground infrastructure, and will be proficient in managing daily field operations to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of projects. A valid CDL is required.

What you’ll do
- Lead and work alongside construction crews to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality completion of telecom infrastructure projects, including utility pole placement, wireless equipment installation, and underground fiber work.
- Ensure full compliance with all safety protocols, PPE requirements, OSHA regulations, and company fall safety procedures to protect the team, customers, and the public.
- Supervise and participate in the installation, testing, provisioning, and maintenance of SONET, DWDM, Ethernet, RF, and small cell network equipment.
- Operate and train team members on the use of telecom-specific test equipment such as Network Testers, OTDRs, Optical Power Meters, Spectrum Analyzers, Fusion Splicers, RF Power Meters, PIM Analyzers, and Signal Generators.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in coordination with the Network Operations Center (NOC), customers, and cross-functional departments.
- Respond to outages, service impairments, and emergency maintenance requests in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and quality reviews at remote network sites to ensure compliance with company standards and service level agreements.
- Perform site surveys and complete hardware/software upgrades to remote equipment with minimal supervision.
- Operate computers and network devices to access system nodes, perform diagnostics, and manage administrative tasks.
- Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to construction specifications and customer requirements.
- Provide leadership, clear communication, and instruction to team members to ensure understanding and execution of project goals.
- Maintain accurate records, complete reports, and uphold company policies and procedures.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency coverage.
- Demonstrate reliability by arriving on time and ready to work in a variety of field conditions and environments.
- Identify potential hazards and mitigate risks associated with telecom and construction job sites.
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Must possess a valid driver’s license (CDL Required)
- Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening.
- Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed.
- May be required to work over-time; after hours; on weekends or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed.
- May include working nights and holidays as needed.
- May be required to travel in state or overnight as necessary to meet business needs.
- Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
Additional qualifications
Education/Experience Requirements:
- 6-12 months of work-related experience pertaining to utility construction, telecommunications or laborer related work
- Proven leadership experience to direct workflow and produce high quality results
- Any combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates ability to perform the designated job duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Experience with one or more of the following – RF, Ethernet, Sonet, Video or fiber optic testing
- Technical knowledge of Fiber, Coax and Low voltage trouble shooting
- Successfully completion of technical training program for RF or Telecommunications Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work in Web Based ticketing and network monitoring systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, while managing time for maximum efficiency.
- Knowledge of radio transmitters, receivers, antennas, electronic and fiber optic theory
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to make common sense understanding to carry out instructions that are provided in written, oral or drawing. Ability to deal with and understand problems involving different variables in many varied situations involving employees, customers and vendors.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts (measurements in terms of distance, proportions, percentages and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, understand and interpret documents such as safety rules and requirements, machine manuals of operation and process procedures. Ability to write information including reports. Ability to speak effectively to customers, coworkers, vendors and the public.
Pay Range: The Foreman Wireless hourly wage range is $25.00 - $31.00 depending on experience.
