What you’ll do

  • Drive Strategic Forecasting: Support the development of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, ensuring financial targets are realistic and aligned with company-
    wide goals.
  • Monitor Performance: Oversee budget expectations, identifying variances and providing "why" analysis to determine if we are meeting our fiscal benchmarks.
  • Storytell with Data: Translate complex financial datasets into clear, "layman’s terms" presentations for leadership, highlighting trends and actionable insights.
  • Manage Operations: Oversee the approval of requisitions and vendors, ensuring all third-party spend is justified and within budgetary constraints.
  • Get Hands-On: Maintain a high level of operational involvement by managing day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries, debits, credits, and month-end close
    support.
  • Strong Analytics: Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to stress-test business assumptions and improve decision-making accuracy.

What you’ll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience using SAP/S4
  • 5+ years of experience in a role that balances FP&A (forecasting/budgeting) with core accounting functions.
  • The ability to explain the story behind the numbers to a non-financial stakeholders without using jargon.
  • Proven experience with journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and the fundamentals of debits and credits.
  • High proficiency in Excel and financial software; you should enjoy digging into data to find the "needle in the haystack".
  • Experience reviewing and approving vendor contracts or purchase requisitions.
  • A willingness to switch between high-level strategic planning and "in-the-weeds", accounting work as the business requires.

 

Physical abilities & exposures

  • Routinely: Sitting at a desk, typing/keyboarding, and viewing computer monitors for
    extended periods.
  • Occasionally: Traveling around 25-30%
