Prince Telecom is seeking a Telecom Manager to oversee their Repair and Maintenance team in the Charlotte, NC area. The Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Manager is responsible for leading all emergency repair, restoration, and maintenance operations within their assigned market. This role ensures the rapid restoration of customer services, maintains 24/7 operational readiness, and drives safe, high-quality execution of all repair activities. The R&M Manager oversees field supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, scheduling, customer communication, and operational performance while ensuring all service level agreements (SLAs) are achieved.
This position requires a proactive leader who can effectively manage planned maintenance, emergency outages, storm response, and after-hours operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000

What you’ll do
- Lead all daily Repair & Maintenance operations across the assigned market.
- Ensure uninterrupted 24/7 response capability for emergency outages and service restoration.
- Coordinate emergency response efforts for fiber cuts, network outages, weather events, and other service-impacting incidents.
- Prioritize work based on customer impact, SLA requirements, and operational urgency.
- Maintain on-call schedules to ensure continuous field coverage.
- Direct and develop supervisors, technicians, and subcontractor partners.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and field observations.
- Build a culture centered on accountability, safety, customer service, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure employees maintain required certifications, training, and technical competencies.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for critical customer issues.
- Maintain proactive communication with customers throughout repair activities.
- Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to minimize service disruptions and improve response times.
- Ensure all customer commitments and restoration timelines are communicated accurately.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators including:
- Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)
- SLA Compliance
- First-Time Fix Rate
- Technician Productivity
- Analyze performance data and implement corrective action plans to improve results.
- Coordinate repair activities with Construction, Installation & Repair, Dispatch, Engineering, Utility Companies, and Municipal Agencies.
- Ensure proper staffing and resource allocation for both scheduled maintenance and emergency response.
- Oversee inventory availability for emergency restoration materials and equipment.
- Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, company policies, and customer requirements.
- Conduct safety audits and incident investigations.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and applicable industry regulations.
What you’ll need
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 3 years management experience in telecommunications.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license (class "C" minimum).
- Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
- Experience in CATV installation field and prior supervisory experience in the CATV or related field.
- Must live within one hour of Charlotte, NC.
- Must be able to work in the United States for this company without sponsorship.
