The Fleet Services Lead will coordinate Company fleet and equipment including, maintenance & repairs, and tracking.

What you’ll do

  • This role will require travel up to 80% nationally.

  • Administer and implement fleet and equipment maintenance, miles, levels of preventative maintenance (oil changes) and required annual inspections.

  • Ensure that all vehicles and equipment are maintained according to company standards. 

  • Inspect weekly vehicle mileage reports to ensure maintenance is scheduled accordingly.

  • Work with vendors, manage all aspects of vehicle upfits to meet company needs.

  • Coordinate the delivery of new equipment and vehicles and document according to company requirements.

  • Assist with aspects of vehicle and trailer records at times including titles, state licensing/tagging, inspections, state changes, DOT compliance, etc.

  • Prepare old vehicles/equipment for auction and assure they are delivered to auctions timely.

  • Analyze the condition of existing fleet and equipment and make ongoing recommendations to replace vehicles and equipment.

  • Collaborate daily with Safety and Field leadership, coordinate DriveCam activity to assure all vehicle’s cameras are functioning properly and replaced as necessary.  Additionally, manage DriveCam inventory and future needs.

  • Work with the Field leadership to ensure repairs and preventative maintenance are being properly performed.

  • Partner with IT on yearly audits and asset tracking. 

  • Ability to purchase and negotiate pricing for repair rates with maintenance vendors.

  • Coordinate asset relocation and collection.

  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • At minimum, possess a high school diploma or GED; and at minimum, 4 years of related experience and/or training; and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • This position requires Microsoft Computer and Google Programs experience.

  • Knowledge pertaining to vehicle maintenance and repairs is preferred.

  • Knowledge of all relevant Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, documentation, and tracking per operating state.



LANGUAGE SKILLS

This position requires the ability to communicate in English with coworkers, internal customers 

and the general public. This person must have the ability to fill-out vehicle inspection reports and other company documents on a daily/weekly basis. This candidate must have the ability to use computer tracking forms and/or programs.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must hold a valid Driver's License. The capability to drive a manual transmission vehicle is preferred.
