What you’ll do

  • Perform Quality Control analysis on all CAD engineering Work Orders to ensure that the final product meets standards and practices.
  • Document any deviation from provided technical specifications and report the changes to the work order to the appropriate supervisory personnel.
  • Utilize, develop and/or modify project specific checklists and conform to standards.
  • If necessary, attend meetings and/or calls with engineers, drafters and/or supervisory personnel to discuss changes in Quality Control practices that will further enhance the finished engineering work order.
  • Work as part of a multi-faceted team consisting of engineering, construction, project management and scheduling personnel, all with a common interest of delivering results to the customer.
  • Daily engagement with drafters via email/phones as well as occasional conference calls.
  • Report and have accountability to the Quality Control Manager with frequent updates on work order deadlines.
  • Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to regulations and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

What you’ll need

  • Candidates with previous experience in Bentley MicroStation, AutoCAD, SpatialNET, IDDS or 3GIS will be given high priority.
  • Knowledge of broadband engineering a plus.
  • Must be proficient with a Windows operating system.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications (emphasis on Excel).
  • Must be able to read engineering work orders and other technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability required.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manger.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organization, oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to work alone or with a team.
  • High School Diploma or GED
