We are seeking Outside Plant Engineers in the Massachusetts and Rhode Island areas with previous OSP Engineering experience and also candidates looking for entry level opportunities in OSP Engineering.

What you’ll do
-
Gather OSP site survey information, evaluate customer requirements, and determine the OSP equipment required

Coordinate with drafting and GIS personnel located in remote offices to produce construction drawings to be used to construct the network.

Solve complex OSP engineering problems with innovative solutions and select the most effective design to manage the resulting work order through to completion

Work as part of a multi-faceted team consisting of engineering, construction, project management, and scheduling personnel, all with a common interest of delivering results to the customer

Daily engagement with customer’s engineering team and project management staff via emails / phone as well as occasional in-person meetings

Report and have accountability to the Project Manager with frequent updates on project progress and risks

Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to regulations and policies.
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record

Previous working knowledge of the telecommunications industry standards, practices and regulations pertaining to the engineering of fiber optic outside plant facilities is desired

A candidate that has previous knowledge of aerial and underground construction methods and engineering requirements will be given high priority

Candidate with familiarity in permitting requirements for state and local agencies a plus
