Precision Valley Communications is a leading provider of engineering, design and construction services for cable, telephony and utility customers.  With headquarters in Springfield, Vermont, PVC also has office locations in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts.   PVC's field services include the mapping and design of strand and as-built, as well as make-ready engineering and pole audits. PVC construction teams work closely with MDU fiber builds and underground conduit and structure builds. 

 

We are seeking a Project Manager for long haul fiber builds in the Virginia market area with previous experience in overseeing permitting, engineering and drafting project management.

What you’ll do

  • Attend (Remotely) weekly meetings with engineering, permit, design and construction teams in order to update project milestones.

  • Work as part of a multi-faceted team consisting of engineering, construction, project management, and scheduling personnel, all with a common interest of delivering results to the customer

  • Daily engagement with the construction team and project management staff via emails / phone

  • Report and have accountability to the Director of Engineering Operations with frequent updates on project progress and risks.

  • Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to regulations and policies.

What you’ll need

  • Previous experience in overseeing permitting, engineering and drafting project management with long haul fiber builds
  • Previous working knowledge of fiber construction industry standards, practices and regulations pertaining to the construction of fiber optic outside plant facilities

  • Candidate that has previous knowledge of aerial and underground construction methods and engineering and construction requirements will be given high priority. 

  • Effective communication skills

  • Valid Drivers License with clean driving record

  • Ability to travel
