What you’ll do
- Manage Accounts Receivable and Account Payable functions/employees
- Oversee timely completion of bank account and balance sheet account reconciliations
- File sales/use tax, personal property tax returns, and other tax filings
- Provide financial analysis and ad hoc reporting as needed
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual management reports
- Maintain accounting staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees along with coaching, counseling and discipline
- Manage/maintain city and state contractor’s licenses
- Oversee the financial process flow from data entry to export/import process into Solomon
- Conduct employee performance reviews according to company schedules
- Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly cash forecast requirements
- SOX controls, execute, implement and enforce
- Support annual audit process including workpaper prep and footnotes to financial statements
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum of 5 years professional accounting experience
- Minimum of 3 years in an accounting leadership role
- Hold a valid Driver’s License
- A strong and demonstrated knowledge base with database software
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Google Mail
- Must be proactive and able to implement a hands-on approach
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with financial and non-financial professionals, and hourly staff.
