At Star, a Supervisor Telecom Construction Underground will be responsible for managing underground telecommunication construction crews; responsible for ensuring that the installation, maintenance, and/or repair for our customer is completed safely, timely, and accurately. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications construction and supervising people familiarity with the equipment used to complete work and the ability to identify and solve problems.

What you’ll do
-
Oversees and leads crews to complete installation, maintenance, and/or repair of telecommunications equipment and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and safety in the completion of daily production goals

Supervises day to day activities and progress, establish guidance on execution and ensure compliance with predetermined deliverables
- Coordinates with manager to invoice jobs in a timely manner

Ensures all safety policies, OSHA, DOT and special requiremetns of a project are in compliance with each crew assignment

All accident investigations, including job damage, employee injury and vehicle accidents will be responsibility of the Supervisor

Responsbility for professional communication with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist in an assigned area, department or project

Identifies and course corrects issues and risks, and assist in the development of response plans to resolve
- Assures compliance with all company safey policies

Responsible for staffing, training and performance managing employees with help of Human Resources

Manages equipment repair, maintenance and rental with help of Fleet department
- Interfaces with customers frequently to discuss needs and goals

What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening
- Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
Additional qualifcations
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
- Experience working in telecommunications or utility construction
- Provenn leadership experience guiding employees to product high quality results and teamwork
- Any combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates ability to perform the designated job duities and responsibillities of the position
Reasoning Abillity:
- Ability to make common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with and resolve problems with mutiple variables.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, undersand and interpret documents such as safety rules, machine manuals and process procedures. Ability to write reports and speak effectively to customers, coworkers and vendors.
