A Lead Right of Way Agent manages complex land acquisiitons, easements, and negotiations for projects, helping to guide and assist lower-level agents and ensuring regulatory compliance. Performs work for right of way as required for construction, prepares claims, provides reviews of all documents and resarch of righ-of-way ownership.

What you’ll do
- Management and/or performance of acquisition/relinquishment of rights-of-way.
- Negotiate/acquire easements for communication facilities.
- Prepare condemnation packages when necessary.
- Advise and assist Operations as it relates to client property rights.
- Respond to inquiries from others, i.e., developers, utilities, and DOT regarding facility location.
- Administration of encroachment situations and relocations of right-of-way due to highway changes, real
estate developments, etc. Prepare documents and make certain client qualifies for reimbursement
where appropriate. - Prepare relinquishment instrument releasing the company’s right-of-way and secure official signature to
document and have them legally recorded. - Administers agreements with Governmental agencies, negotiates new agreements, as well as
improvement of rights on existing agreements, and guides field forces as necessary in acquisition. - Administers, set-up, reviews, and budget rental and periodic charges for right-of-way.
- Supervises the maintenance of property records so that retrieval of property information is quick and
accurate. - Retrieves and interprets property rights data for field forces and other groups with law and government
affairs. - Aggressively pursue budget reduction opportunities for existing ROW/Conduit leases.
- Proactively manage and re-negotiate renewal of expired lease agreements.
- Manage capital budgets:
a. Review and prepare ROW Project Monthly Budget Documentation
b. Prepare and maintain Budget/Summary spreadsheets as needed
c. Quality Control Review Capital Project ROW Records
d. Analyze and review Permits/Agreements documents for approval by client - Assist manager and client as required.

What you’ll need
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Programs
- Knowledge of REP Plus program
- The ability to analyze and interpret documents, agreements and permits
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Good leadership skills
- Permitting Experience Preferred
