This role relies on deep industry experience and sound judgment to plan, organize, and execute program deliverables efficiently from kickoff to final completion.

What you’ll do

Project Execution & Performance Tracking

  • Track project health and performance using key performance indicators (KPIs), delivering timely, actionable reports to management and stakeholders.

  • Define and monitor critical path milestones, high-risk data points, schedule variances, and material forecasts to keep projects on time and under budget.

  • Identify, track, and manage potential risks, scope changes, and schedule delays to resolve issues before they impact execution.

Process Standardization & Operations Support

  • Build end-to-end operational workflows that map all key touchpoints required to satisfy specific customer contract obligations.

  • Streamline existing workflows to drive repeatable, efficient project execution across teams.

  • Eliminate operational roadblocks and empower field teams to deliver high-quality results efficiently.

  • Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to optimize service delivery.

Stakeholder Communication & Client Relations

  • Serve as the primary client point of contact for project updates, risk mitigation, and issue resolution.

  • Oversee internal and external touchpoints across the entire project life cycle—from initial work order receipt to final invoice approval—ensuring full contractual compliance.

  • Lead regular project status meetings with clients and internal leadership to maintain alignment on deliverables, timelines, and program goals.

What you’ll need

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States for the company.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience).

  • 4–7 years of experience managing direct reports.

  • 4–7 years of experience delivering OSP (Outside Plant) telecommunications or utility-related services.

Technical & Professional Expertise

  • Proven ability to create, maintain, and execute comprehensive Project Management Plans across the PMI project life cycle.

  • Strong working knowledge of Critical Path Methodology (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), advanced scheduling techniques, and project financial principles.

  • Proficiency with industry tools and software, including Google Workspace (Mail, Sheets, Docs), Smartsheet, and Bluebeam Power PDF.

  • Excellent technical writing skills to produce clear documentation, reports, and procedures.

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Strong internal and external communication skills, with the ability to bridge conversation across all organizational levels (upstream, downstream, and clients).

  • Skilled negotiator and consensus builder with a track record of driving alignment in cross-functional team environments.

  • Self-motivated, proactive problem solver who can work independently with minimal guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification.

  • Advanced/Post-Graduate degree in a business or technical discipline.

The wage range for Project Manager- Blaine, MN is $84,000.00  - $100,000.00.
