At ​TelCom Construction, LLC, as an Associate Safety Trainer, you'll be responsible for assisting in maintaining compliance associated with all aspects of the Company Safety Program. These duties include enforcing policy, general administrative functions for the Safety department and serving as a liaison between field employees and the EHS department.

What you’ll do

  • Conducts New Hire Safety Orientation and Field Safety Training on a weekly basis, as well as other safety-related (OSHA, DOT, etc) training as needed;
  • Reviews and evaluates DriveCam footage to assign drivers, confirm behaviors and making appropriate administrative system updates. Attends DriveCam coaching calls to track driver attendance and reinforce safety policy and best practice;
  • Schedules, documents, and tracks employee training and operator qualification records;
  • Reviews the Company’s LMS to ensure timely completion of outstanding training. Works with employees and local management to ensure training completion;
  • Conducts specialized equipment training and testing;
  • In conjunction with the Director Safety & Risk and the Human Resources Department, prepares and executes employee-related documentation as needed;
  • In conjunction with the Director Safety & Risk, participates in audits initiated by regulatory entities;
  • Travels as required;
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • General knowledge of OSHA and DOT requirements is strongly preferred but not required;
  • Strong commitment to safety standards and regulations (both organizational and regulatory) is required;
  • Ability to present/speak in front of groups of people of all sizes;
  • Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions, correspondence and memos;
  • Effective and respectful written and verbal communication with all applicable stakeholders, both internal and external, at all levels of the organization;
  • Team oriented, keeping the organizational needs at the forefront;
  • Proficient use of computer hardware and software including but not limited to Internet software and databases. Familiarity with Google-based applications is preferred;
  • First aid/CPR/AED train the trainer preferred or ability to obtain these credentials;
  • Ability to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends as needed;
  • Maintains current DOT health card;
  • Valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record is required and CDL Class “A” driver license is preferred.

  • Frequent use of hands, arms, and fingers to perform routine and repetitive tasks (particularly as they relate to the use of a computer, telephone and other office equipment);

The wage range for Assoc Safety Trainer is $55,000.00  - $75,000.00.
