TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a strategic and results-driven Supply Chain Director to oversee and optimize all aspects of the company's supply chain operations. This vital role will report to Becky Bohnenkamp and is responsible for managing the end-to-end flow of materials and resources across our yard locations, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.

What you’ll do

The Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for supervising and delivering value across the company's supply chain, from raw material procurement to inventory management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies and plans to improve the efficiency and speed of material flow throughout the organization.
  • Procurement and Vendor Management: Oversee all procurement, purchasing, and distribution activities. This includes locating effective wholesale opportunities to boost growth and obtaining the best price for raw material purchases.
  • Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong, forward-thinking relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to cut costs and ensure quality and delivery requirements are met.
  • Inventory and Distribution: Plan the logistics strategy, administer product distribution and transportation, and monitor inventory to accurately forecast demand and avoid stock outs. This includes ownership for the development and maintenance of multi-site inventories.
  • Performance and Process Improvement: Establish key performance metrics, analyze supply chain data, and drive process transformation and continuous improvement across all operations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments (such as Operations and Sales) to ensure proper material flow, optimize operations, and resource key operational gaps.
    Risk and Compliance: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.

What you’ll need

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with proven experience in a leadership or directorial role, is generally expected.
  • Skills:
    o    Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
    o    Excellent leadership, management, and team-mentoring skills.
    o    Proven abilities in negotiation, problem-solving, and decision making.
    o    Proficiency in data analysis and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) programs and supply chain management software is a plus.
    o    Systematic and strategic view of the entire supply chain ecosystem.

 

The wage range for Supply Chain Director is $150,000.00  - $180,000.00.
