The Business Analyst role is to support core operational functions and business processes related to various Operational Systems. The Analyst is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on observations found within systems’ operation and then reports them to IT support teams, including support data. What you’ll do
- Provides support and feedback to appropriate stakeholders throughout all software development life-cycle activities and provides guidance on best practices;
- Identifies opportunities for systematic improvement as they relate to business, financial and operations requirements/goals and develops and executes a plan to support the organization to resolve them;
- Establishes & maintains positive relationships at all levels within the business, facilitating open communication and problem solving;
- Performs new and modified system roll-out planning including system introduction meetings and end user training;
- Assists and provides feedback with design sessions in prototyping new systems in the spirit of system simplicity and end user understanding;
- Assists with operational decision tree creation and testing;
- Creates reports and ad-hoc queries to perform data analysis, determining user compliance with processes and systems as well as providing other system data to management as requested;
- Maintains general after hours availability to support crews and customers as needed;
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or project management or telecommunications construction industry experience as described below is required;
- Ability to read, understand and interpret telecommunication construction contract units, construction sheets, maps and plant records is required;
- Previous experience with organizational system integration is preferred;
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Comfortable speaking in one-on-one as well as large and small group settings at all levels throughout the organization, including customers, employees, managers, vendors, sub-contractors, etc. Adapts communication style and approach based on audience needs and abilities;
- Advanced knowledge of internet software; spreadsheet, database and word processing software is required;
- Android & IOS mobile technology and experience with Google apps for business is strongly preferred;
- Ability to manage highly confidential information and represent the company and its initiatives in a positive and professional manner;
- Extensive travel is required;
- Driver’s License with good driving record is required.
