What you’ll do
- Pre-wire and post-wire multi-dwelling units (MDUs) using coax and Cat5e cable
- Install fiber through new and existing conduits in residential and commercial environments
- Perform cable routing, wall fishing, tone/tagging, and outlet installation
- Conduct hand digging (install or replace small ped/ vaults)
- Install and secure distribution boxes, cover plates, and related hardware
- Terminate voice and data lines and test all connections for performance and accuracy
- Reconnect active customers and verify all services are operational
- Read and interpret prints, maps, and construction designs
- Operate company vehicles, hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Complete daily documentation, including production reports and vehicle inspections
- Load, stock, and organize materials, tools, and equipment for daily assignments
- Perform routine safety inspections and maintain compliance with company safety standards
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and support team members as needed
What you’ll need
- Experience with cable installation, including coax, Cat5e, and fiber (MDU experience preferred)
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and cable testing equipment
- Basic understanding of telecom prints, layouts, and network infrastructure
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to test, troubleshoot, and verify connections
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills for interacting with team members, residents, and customers
- Ability to work in various environments, including tight spaces and outdoor conditions
- Physical capability to bend, climb, crawl, lift, and move equipment up to 80 lbs
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to pass drug screening and background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
