What you’ll do
- Acts as first point of contact for all property and liability incidents – acts as first point of
contact for claim reporting. - Conducts investigations, documents findings, and manages the resolution of all business
claims. Develops action plans based on findings. - Serve as primary liason with insurance carriers, adjusters and legal counsel.
- Reviews claim reserves, payments, and settlement recomendations for accuracy and appropriateness
- Ensure timely reporting of claims in accordance with Texas Department of insurance and carrier requirements.
- Oversee workers compensation claims in compliance with state regulations.
- Coordinate return to work and modified duty programs in collaboration with HR and Operations.
- Assist in accident investigations and root cause analysis when needed.
- Monitor auto, general liability, and property claims as applicable.
- Accurately classifies and enters new claim information, claim payments, and
reserves in computer systems, inputting concise yet sufficient file documentation for
accurate and appropriate claims management - Maintains claim files such as records of settled claims and an inventory of claims
requiring detailed analysis – including regular follow up in a timely and professional
manner - Maintains a high level of communication internally regarding claim status updates as well as
externally with claimants. - Prepares for and participates as needed in audits initiated by any regulatory entity.

- Actively participates in Company and Corporate claim reviews.

What you’ll need
- Bachelors's degree in Risk Management, business Administration or related field equivalent experience.
- 3-5 yrs of claims management experience preferably in workers compensation and liability
- Strong working knowledge of Texas workers compensation regulations, as well as Oregon, & New Mexico
- Expereince working with TPA's insurance carriers and legal counsel.
- Analytical, organizational and documentation skills.
- ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Preferred
- Experience in construction, utilities, telecommunications, or field-based industries.
- Professional designation such as AIC, ARM, CPCU or similar
- Experience with claims management systems and loss run analysis
- Knowledge of OSHA and DOT reporting requirements.
