At VCI Construction, as a Claims Safety Coordinator, you will bridge the gap between field operations and risk management. This role is a 60/40 split between Claims Management (post-incident administration) and Safety Coordination (proactive prevention). You will report to the Safety Director and work closely with field supervisors to ensure every incident is handled with precision and care.

What you’ll do

Serve as the primary point of contact for after-hours and weekend incident reporting. You will lead the initial intake process, ensuring drug screens are scheduled and preliminary statements are gathered immediately.

Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Auto claims. You will coordinate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and legal counsel.

Ability to process heavy volume of complex written material; analyze situations and establish priorities

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping

Ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and retain information specific to the business

Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace

Perform audits on all incident documentation to ensure it meets contractual and legal reporting requirements.

Build and maintain strong business relationships with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure timely return-to-work programs.
What you’ll need

Must be willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule to manage immediate incident intake.

Spanish bilingual

1–3 years in construction coordination, insurance claims, or safety-related roles.

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel is a must) and Adobe Professional for digital claim filing.

Familiarity with State, Highway Department, and Municipal requirements regarding traffic control and construction safety.

Exceptional verbal and written skills; you must be able to remain calm and professional during high-stress incident intake calls.

Meticulous record-keeping skills; ability to manage "As-Builts" for safety files and incident scene diagrams.
The wage range for Claims Safety Coordinator is $70,304.00 - $73,500.00.
