At VCI Construction, as an Manager Telecom, you will report directly to the Director of Operations. In this role, the ideal candidate will perform work that is responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the field units. The Operations Manager will carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, while managing all operational aspects of the Center.

What you’ll do
- Lead day-to-day Center operations with a hands-on approach.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, excavators, and employees.
- Promote and maintain a robust safety culture throughout the center.
- Develop and train a team of Supervisors on key performance indicators (KPIs) and business drivers.
- Conduct daily and weekly meetings to ensure quality control.
- Participate actively in financial forecasting and budget preparation.
- Reduce expenses, damages, and company liability related to accidents and workers’ compensation.
- Manage employee performance, reviews, feedback, and development.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and safety standards.
- Represent the company at industry and community meetings and forums

What you’ll need
To be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
High school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
BS/BA degree preferred
Two (2) or more years of management and/or supervisory experience required.
Utility locating experience or related industry experience preferred.
Advanced technical skills with various computer applications and experience using Microsoft Office Suite preferred
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with attention to detail, individually and collaboratively in a team, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize workflow
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals at all levels and areas within the organization
Ability to be flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Exemplary communication skills with the ability to present and consult with all levels throughout financial and executive leadership
Detail oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Additional qualifications
Must have 3 years management experience in underground and overhead construction.
Must pass extensive background investigation, DMV background and drug screen.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
The wage range for Manager Telecom is $91,000.00 - $109,000.00.
