At VCI Construction, as a Sr. Manager Telecom, you will report directly to the Project Manager. In this role, the ideal candidate will perform work that is responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the field units. The Operations Manager will carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, while managing all operational aspects of the Center.

What you’ll do
- Assist other technical personnel in the performance of their duties when requested
- Knowledge of bonding and grounding requirements of telecommunications plant
- Extensive knowledge of fiber optics and copper cable.
- Must be able to lead a team, managing various tasks, responsibilities and deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Attends all in-house training and out-sourced training as adopted in the company policy.
- Is responsible along with the Superintendent for all property owner complaints and personally investigates all complaints.
- Assures 100% adherence to all company safety policies.
- Must be able to meet production goals set forth by direct manager.
- Communicate with customers regarding current jobs and project statuses.
- Understand workload across 2 states and realign resources as necessary.
What you’ll need

- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Complete all company-required training.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call work.Willingness to travel as needed.
Basic requirements
- Supervisory and Outside Plant (OSP) telecom experience.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering schematics and facility records.
- Knowledge of AC/DC theory, analog/digital transmission, and bonding/grounding requirements.
- Skilled in splicing fiber optic and copper cable.
- Familiarity with various telecom test equipment (e.g., OTDRs, Sidekick).
- Ability to work in aerial and buried OSP environments.
- Experience in staffing, training, and managing employees.
- Knowledge of local cable facilities and fiber networks.
- Capable of building cable records and facilities.
- Experience with budget discussions and customer/contractor meetings
The wage range for Sr Manager Telecom is $95,000.00 - $120,000.00.
