At White Mountain Cable Construction, LLC, as a Fiber Installation Technician, you’ll set up and take care of the fiber optic networks that help connect people. You'll make sure everything runs smoothly, fix any problems, and keep us connected without any interruptions. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic service drops and related equipment for residential and business customers.
This is a field-based position requiring travel within the Western New Hampshire and Eastern Vermont area.

What you’ll do
• Install, splice, and terminate fiber optic cables. Both aerial and underground.
• Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot fiber optic network issues.
• Ensure all installations meet company and industry standards.
• Educate customers on proper use and care of fiber optic equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and equipment used.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need
• Proven experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing is a must.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic technology and network architecture.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
Physical abilities & exposures
• Routinely: work at heights, in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, work with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
