We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Fiber Installation Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic service drops and related equipment for residential and business customers.
This is a field-based position.

What you’ll do
- Install, splice, and terminate fiber optic cables. Both aerial and underground.
- Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot fiber optic network issues.
- Ensure all installations meet company and industry standards.
- Educate customers on proper use and care of fiber optic equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and equipment used.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
- Perform work in all weather conditions
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need
We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
- Proven experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing is a must.
- Strong understanding of fiber optic technology and network architecture.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
Physical abilities & exposures
- Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
- Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Fiber Installation Technician is $22.00 - $25.00 per hour.
